Katie Szerbin is a late 80s baby based in south Jersey. She started her “smithing” journey in fall 2019. She was encouraged to pursue a life long interest of metal smithing by her amazing life partner, Brett Tocco. With his knowledge of tools and lack of fear of fire, Brett showed Katie how to use your basic plumbing torch and it was all down hill from there (but actually it was a lot of time on YouTube, buying books online, and bunch of trial and error and burns and a few bruised fingers from hammers). As Katie slowly started learning the basics and things stayed in one piece, she listed some rings she made for sale on Etsy for the first time January 2020. Katie complete a comprehensive jewelry course in September 2021.
Katie is currently working as a full time jeweler at a repair shop. Katie is trying to provide jewelry to you all when she isn't working or being a mom.
